More and more foreign property buyers are set to purchase a Turkish residence in the next few years, an expert has stated.
John Howell, partner at the International Law Partnership, said the country is likely to see greater interest from second home buyers in the near future.
Turkey was described as a "beautiful and interesting" place that could be easily reached by foreign leisure travellers.
This, he stated, would help it to become a hotspot among both holiday home owners and expatriates who want to live abroad permanently.
Mr Howell commented: "People are living in Turkey permanently because they love the place and because it is cheap."
He added that the country could also be a good option for rental investors as a growing number of holidaymakers are choosing to visit.
Turkey's government recently announced that it wants to attract more than 50 million tourists a year by 2023 - more than twice the current amount.
According to the Foreign Property Buyer website, this "ambitious" plan could potentially be "fantastic news" for rental investors.
