Overseas Investments
We provide preliminary investment advice for clients who want to invest in or retire overseas.
Our legal advice centres on choices available to you and the tax and cultural issues arising when investing in a country with which you are not familiar.
We are not financial advisers. We will not recommend products or individual investments. Rather we will talk to you about the basic structure of your financial affairs.
We act in the role of the Family Doctor. We will identify your investment needs and, where appropriate, call in any Specialist help that you might need.
The legal advice is often given in conjunction with your own existing accountants or investment advisers. Alternatively, we can often introduce you to specialist cross border, international investment advisers.
Once you and your advisers, have made your minds up as to your desired investments - stocks, bonds, real estate etc - we can often help with the legal work involved in buying the overseas investments concerned.
